To celebrate Opening day on April 1, Shout! Factory TV will present a marathon of World Series highlight films produced by Major League Baseball. Beginning Tuesday, March 30 at 6 p.m. PT, we’ll be airing the last 5 World Series highlight films back-to-back until the first pitch on Thursday: 2016 Chicago Cubs, 2017 Houston Astros, 2018 Boston Red Sox, 2019 Washington Nationals and 2020 Los Angeles Dodgers.  

The World Series documentary is a tradition that dates back to 1943 when the U.S. State Department commissioned Major League Baseball to produce a recap of the World Series for troops overseas. With camera crews capturing some of baseball’s most mesmerizing moments and celebrity narrators like Vince Vaughn and Vin Scully, these expertly crafted highlight documentaries are bound to be a grand slam!
